Office hours for your clinic can be easily changed in Clockwise by going to:

where 'xxx' is your unique clinic ID (this can be found by looking at the URLs for your patient queue and nurse screens).

Once you are on the Settings page, you'll see the Office Hours configuration at the top of the page. The first configurations are for your normal office hours and are set by the day of the week, e.g., on Thursdays, we are open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Should you wish to change your normal office hours, make the changes here and then scroll down and click the green Save Changes button to preserve your changes.

If you wish to only temporarily change your hours for a holiday or for an office closing, you can use the Special Hours configuration immediately below the regular office hours. This configuration is what we commonly call a 'self-expiring' configuration: once you set it for a particular date and time, Clockwise will respect that setting until the date/time passes and will then go back to calculating its times based on the regular office hours. You don't have to remember (or set a reminder) to go back and change your Special Hours again.

To enter an expiring special day/hour, enter the date in the MM/DD/YYYY format. Be sure that the date is not in the past. For the Open Time and Close Time, select the times from the pulldown. If you're closing early, it may be that your Open Time is the same as the regular open time, but you select an earlier Close Time. If you're configuring the clinic to be closed for a particular date, select 'Closed' (from the bottom of the pick list) to be both your Open Time and Close Time. Once you've entered the date, Open Time, and Close Time, click the plus symbol ('+') at the beginning of the row to add it to the list of dates to be saved. This allows you to enter several special dates/hours at once rather than having to save after each date/time. You must click the plus symbol for each/every row in order for that date/time to be considered when saving.

Once you have configured all the known dates/times, scroll down and click the green Save Changes button to preserve all your changes. You will see a confirmation message displayed at the top of your screen. If you wish to verify that they've saved, you can re-load the page (or close and re-open), then check to ensure that all your dates/times are shown as expected.

If you set a special date/time and later need to edit it or remove it, you can click the red 'X' at the beginning of the row for that date/time to remove the old setting, then re-add it correctly if needed. There is currently no mechanism to edit an existing date/time without removing and re-adding.

NOTE: Once office hours have been changed, restrictions which key off open/close times need not be changed, i.e., they will follow the new open/close times


If your clinic is normally open until 8:00 PM and you have restricted online scheduling so as not to accept online appointments during the last 60 minutes, changing your closing to 5:00 PM will now restrict online scheduling to 4:00 PM, i.e., sixty minutes before the new closing time.
