Technical Level: Easy

There may be times when you want to turn off online scheduling without closing your clinic to walk-in patients. This can be done easily by visiting

https://www.clockwisemd.com/hospitals/xxx/settings

(where 'xxx' is the unique clinic ID for your clinic: you can find this value by looking at the URLs for your patient queue and nurse screen).

The Online Scheduling settings are located in the "Common Settings" portion of the Settings page. The button is green when online scheduling is 'ON', and red when online scheduling is 'OFF.' The change is immediate and a confirmation message informing you of the change will be displayed upper left. Turning off Urgent Care online scheduling will display the Online Scheduling Disabled Body on the scheduling page ending in /appointments/new. Whereas turning off Primary Care scheduling will display the Online Scheduling Disabled Body on the scheduling page ending in /appointments/schedule_visit. Note that this message is different than the Unavailable Message which is displayed when the clinic is closed or when all the online slots have been taken.

You can change the Online Scheduling Disabled Body on the Online Scheduling Settings page. It defaults to read:

Visits cannot be scheduled online right now.

However, you can change this message to more accurately reflect the reason for the outage, e.g., inclement weather, holidays, and/or loss of services such as electricity or water. Once you make the change to this verbiage, you will need to scroll down the page and click the green Save Changes button to preserve your changes.
